What Steve's reading...

.. and watching. First, a TED video on the new ball and chain.

Next, a few articles on Net Neutrality. You have likely heard this phrase thrown about, but like most people have no idea what it means. Well, if you're interested, take a read! It's important.

Network Neutrality FAQ. Tim Wu. A decent primer, if you're willing to wade through some technical language.

Will Comcast destroy net neutrality? Slate, 2010. Put aside the nice theoretical stuff you just learned about, roll up your sleeves and get ready to read about what happens in the real world of internet providers.

Google and Money! New York Review of Books, 2010. Only obliquely related to net neutrality, but a fascinating review of Google's relationship with advertising, privacy and money.

As a side note, I regularly use Google search, GMail, Blogger, Google Maps, Chrome, Picasa, Picasa Web Albums, Google Documents, Google Chat, YouTube, Google Translate and Google Groups, all of which are Google products. I'm as hooked on Google as anyone is.
